Last night we had an SFPC/ITP mixer; while I enjoyed talking to everyone about their work (dude who is making a solar-powered version of sailing stones, I salute you), my favorite part was being able to watch people interact with my work. Doing web projects means most of the time my only interaction with my [very small] audience is as number in a google analytics report.
I started off just with two windows of Dot open on my screen. Somehow, though, a curious investigator managed to bring up Metaphorgy, which I always forget to show. It was a great hit, lots of folks playing along, and then, when I went to shut down the guest session I had opened to run the work, I found the best trail: someone had screenshotted a bunch of metaphors.
Unidentified audience member, thank you so much for the gifts! Even better than watching people listen to your book work is finding the parts they liked left behind for you.
